Choose a Mode Before Chasing Speed
Your objective changes with the selected mode. In Racing Mode, the goal is to reach the finish ahead of the other riders. Career Mode focuses on completing downhill courses quickly, so crashes and lost momentum can make a run harder to finish successfully. Free Style removes the race structure and lets you search the map for diamonds while experimenting with ramps and vehicles.
The downhill terrain naturally builds speed, but bumps, turns, and jumps can send your rider off course. Holding maximum speed through every section therefore carries a risk: a faster approach leaves less room to correct your line before a corner or uneven part of the track. Ease off when the route becomes difficult to read, then accelerate again when you have a clear path.
Driving and Free Style Controls
For Player 1, use WASD to control your vehicle; the arrow keys can also be used for movement in single-player mode. Shift activates nitro on vehicles that support it, C changes the camera, and R restarts your position.
Free Style adds extra actions. Press Q to jump and E to deploy the parachute. You can also switch between available vehicles in this mode, letting you explore with more than the standard downhill bike. The game's vehicle selection includes bikes, cross bikes, ATVs, and speed boats.
Use Free Style to Explore and Unlock Items
Diamonds are a specific objective in Free Style, so leaving the direct path and exploring ramps or side areas has a purpose. Collecting these diamonds contributes toward unlocking additional items, while rewards earned from other challenges can be used through the garage for more vehicles and customization options.
Free Style is also useful for learning how a vehicle responds before taking it into a more demanding course. Since different rides handle differently and jumps can lead to crashes, practicing turns, landings, and nitro use without a race finish to chase can make the controls easier to judge.
Keep Control on Downhill Sections
Watch the terrain ahead instead of reacting only after the vehicle reaches a bump or turn. Downhill slopes can increase your speed quickly, so an early steering correction is safer than a sharp adjustment at the edge of the track. Use nitro where the route gives you room to maintain a straight line, rather than boosting immediately before a difficult corner or landing.
